Giving Back

Heal Yoga is committed to giving back to our home community of Terrace, BC.  We believe in making our yoga classes and programs accessible to those who need it most.  Here are a few of the ways we’re doing our best to support those who need love, acceptance, and yoga.  When you join our members-only studio, you’re also supporting these valuable causes.

Northern BC Crisis Centre

The Northern BC Crisis Line is a safe, confidential and non-judgmental crisis line to discuss anything troubling you. We highly value the work that the Crisis Centre does for our community.

Heal Yoga will donate $5 to the Crisis Centre for each Karma Campaign Revolution sweatshirt sold and Self-Love series attended. Click the Class Schedule link below to see when our next Self-Love series is running.

Terrace Hospice Society

The Hospice Society provides programs for those who are dying, their caregivers, and those who are grieving. We recognize the essential services provided by the society and their volunteers.

Heal Yoga will be lending Dr. Virginia Russell’s services to facilitate the new Grief & Grub For Guys support group, an 8-week program she co-created.  We will also offer caregivers a weekly series focused on self-care and balance, and widowers a supportive stretch time in our studio. Click the Class Schedule button below to see when these sessions are offered next.

Karma Exchange Program

Heal Yoga offers a Karma Exchange Program to those who cannot afford the full price for our classes and programs.  This program allows you to volunteer your hours helping out at the reception desk, cleaning and sanitizing the studio, or assisting in other ways according to your abilities.

In return, you will receive credits for the hours volunteered that can be used for any of our regular classes or programs.  To receive an application for our Karma Exchange Program, please send us a message via our contact form.

Earth Child Project

The Earth Child Project is a non-profit organization operating in the Western Cape, South Africa.  They offer complimentary education to under-resourced schools using a holistic approach that focuses on health and wellness, life skills, and the environment.

The members of the Heal Yoga studio raised $250 for the Earth Child Project, which will sponsor yoga for children for a full year.  Click the link below to learn more about this non-profit organization.
